Handmade to order
You can order the map itself, or you can order a framed version. The frame is a nice, simple black frame that really makes our maps pop out when on a wall. Please get in touch if you'd like a different frame, or if you'd like a larger framed map. We use super-clear acrylic (perspex/acrylite) in our frames - it's less reflective than glass and better for transport.
This map looks great at all sizes: 12x16 inches (30x40cm), 16x20 inches (40x50cm), 18x24 inches (45x60cm) and 24x36 (60x90cm) but it looks even better when printed large. I can create beautiful, large prints of this map up to 70 inches (180cm) wide. Please get in touch if you're looking for larger, customised or different framing options.
This map of Bristol & Clifton would make a great birthday or Christmas gift for someone from Bristol, or who has Brizzle in their heart.
Like a lot of the UK's oldest cities, Bristol's street names, landmarks and waterways haven't changed much in the last 150 years - so it's nice to find your favourite street and imagine what it might've looked like all those years ago.
Many of Bristol's main roads and rivers are clearly visible here: the Avon runs from east to west, Cumberland Basin is still there, as is the Floating Harbour (now just Bristol Harbour). Brandon Hill, Canon Marsh, Queen Square, St Peters Church, and small roads like Welsh Back are all here.
In the top left corner is the suburb of Clifton, with a Zoologic Garden (now Bristol Zoo Gardens) and Tyndall Park... a park that no longer exists! Over the Avon to the south is the area that is now called Redcliffe and Temple Meads.
Around the edges of the map are detailed engravings of prominent buildings and landmarks in Bristol and Clifton, including Bristol Cathedral, a lovely view of Clifton from Rownham Ferry, College Green, Redcliff Church, and the Broad Quay.

I use a unique process to restore my maps that is massively time consuming and labour intensive. Hunting down the original maps can take months. I use state of the art and eye-wateringly expensive technology to scan and restore the maps. As a result, I guarantee my maps are a cut above the rest - that's why I can offer a no-quibble refund.
Almost all of my maps look amazing at large sizes (200cm, 6.5ft+) and I can frame and deliver them to you as well, via special oversized courier. Contact me to discuss your specific needs.
