Almost all of my maps look amazing at large sizes (2m+) and I can frame them. Contact me to discuss your specific needs.
This old, full colour and wonderful map shows Ireland as it was in 1798. It was created and published by William Faden, a preeminent mapmaker of the time and His Majesty's official geographer.
This is one of the finest and rarest old maps of Ireland, showing all of the original counties and provinces.
This map looks beautiful at all sizes, from 12x16 inches (30x40cm) to 18x24 inches (45x60cm) and beyond. I would always recommend getting a larger size so that you can easily make out all the detail on this map. I can create beautiful prints of this map up to 70 inches tall (180cm). The 24x30 inch map has white edges that can easily be snipped off (or they may help you with framing!) Please get in touch if you're looking for larger, customised or different framing options.
Just about every town, village and city is visible in this antique map of Ireland. Zoom in on some of the detailed images and see if you can spot your town!
Cork, Belfast, Dublin, Limerick, Clonakilty, Dundalk, Antrim, Coleraine - and all of the Irish counties and provinces - are all here and clearly visible.
In a nice touch, all of the waterways and bays are also labelled - including Dingle Bay, Belfast Lough, Galway Bay and Donegal Bay.
Take a look at some of the detailed listing images and marvel at this beautiful old map, and how it has been restored by the Unique Maps Co.
This would make a wonderful gift for someone from Ireland or who has Ireland in their heart.
If this map doesn't quite do it for you, I have a slightly more modern map from 1872 by Fullarton & Co that has a slightly different aesthetic:
You can order the map itself, or you can order a framed version. The frame is a nice, simple black frame that really makes our maps pop out when on a wall. Please get in touch if you'd like a different frame. We use super-clear perspex in our frames - it's less reflective than glass and better for transport.
All of my maps are well packaged and sent in a rugged tube if unframed, or surrounded by foam if framed.
I try to send out all maps within 1 or 2 days of receiving your order, though some products (like face masks or mugs) can take longer to make.
If you select the free worldwide shipping option, you can usually expect to receive your map around 10 days after you order. It may be faster or slower, depending on the impact of coronavirus in your country.
If you select Express Delivery at checkout your order will be sent by courier (Fedex, DHL, UPS, Parcelforce) and will usually arrive in 2-3 days.
Customers in the US, Australia and Canada: Your map will be sent from a printer or framer in your country, which means you'll get your map sooner, you won't pay import duties, and we'll put less CO2 into the atmosphere. I have worked with some great printers and framers around the world for years - so don't worry, your map will still look amazing!
My maps are extremely high quality reproductions of original maps.
I source original, extremely rare maps from libraries, auction houses and private collections around the world, restore them at my London workshop, and then use specialist giclée inks and printers to create beautiful maps that look even better than the original.
My maps are printed on thick matte (not glossy) paper that feels high quality. In technical terms the paper weight/thickness is 10mil/190gsm. It's perfect for framing.
Please contact me if you're looking for a print on canvas or cotton rag.
