Almost all of my maps look amazing at large sizes (2m+) and I can frame them. Contact me to discuss your specific needs.
This old, full colour and wonderful map shows the railways and canals of the British Isles in 1872. It was engraved by G.H. Swanston and published by A. Fullarton & Co.
The map shows all the railways of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. And rather uniquely, it has inset maps showing the detailed railways of London, Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield, York, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
The 'normal' size for this map is 16x20 inches (40x50cm) but I can print large, beautiful prints of this map up to 40x50 inches (100x125cm). Please get in touch if you're looking for larger, customised or different framing options.
Just about every town and city is visible in this antique map of the UK. Zoom in on some of the detailed images and see if you can spot your town!
This is one of the nicest maps of railways in the UK, almost at the peak of the British rail system.
This would make a wonderful gift for someone who loves railways or canals, or who is simply interested in the history of the British Isles.
You can order the map itself, or you can order a framed version. The frame is a nice, simple black frame that really makes our maps pop out when on a wall. Please get in touch if you'd like a different frame. We use super-clear perspex in our frames - it's less reflective than glass and better for transport.
All of my maps are well packaged and sent in a rugged tube if unframed, or surrounded by foam if framed.
I try to send out all maps within 1 or 2 days of receiving your order, though some products (like face masks or mugs) can take longer to make.
If you select the free worldwide shipping option, you can usually expect to receive your map around 10 days after you order. It may be faster or slower, depending on the impact of coronavirus in your country.
If you select Express Delivery at checkout your order will be sent by courier (Fedex, DHL, UPS, Parcelforce) and will usually arrive in 2-3 days.
Customers in the US, Australia and Canada: Your map will be sent from a printer or framer in your country, which means you'll get your map sooner, you won't pay import duties, and we'll put less CO2 into the atmosphere. I have worked with some great printers and framers around the world for years - so don't worry, your map will still look amazing!
My maps are extremely high quality reproductions of original maps.
I source original, extremely rare maps from libraries, auction houses and private collections around the world, restore them at my London workshop, and then use specialist giclée inks and printers to create beautiful maps that look even better than the original.
My maps are printed on thick matte (not glossy) paper that feels high quality. In technical terms the paper weight/thickness is 10mil/190gsm. It's perfect for framing.
Please contact me if you're looking for a print on canvas or cotton rag.
