This map looks great at all sizes: 12x16 inches (30x40cm), 16x20 inches (40x50cm) and 18x24 inches (45x60cm), but it looks even better when printed large. I can create beautiful, large prints of this map up to 80x60 inches (200x150cm). Please get in touch if you're looking for larger, customised or different framing options.
I also have the same map, but with the original handcolouring. It may better suit your tastes or room decor.
In the top right corner of the map is a detailed engraving of Norwich, then (and still) the capital of this ancient county. Even by the 1600s Norwich was fairly well developed - you might even recognise some of the streets from central Norwich today!
Most of Norfolk's most populous towns and cities have already popped into existence by the 1600s. Here are some of the places clearly visible in this old map of the county of Norfolk: Norwich, King's Lynn, Gorleston-on-Sea, Great Yarmouth, Thetford, Dereham, Taverham, Wymondham, North Walsham, Downham Market, Attleborough, Diss, Caister, Hunstanton, Sheringham, Cromer, Fakenham and many more. But of course, many of them are spelt in their Early Modern English forms.
Take a look at the detailed images and try to spot your hometown! Feel free to message me if you want to confirm if a certain Norfolk town or village is on this map.
This would make a wonderful birthday or Christmas gift for someone from Norfolk or who has Norwich in their heart.
You can order the map itself, or you can order a framed version. The frame is a nice, simple black frame that really makes our maps pop out when on a wall. Please get in touch if you'd like a different frame. We use super-clear acrylic (perspex/acrylite) in our frames - it's less reflective than glass and better for transport.

I use a unique process to restore my maps that is massively time consuming and labour intensive. Hunting down the original maps can take months. I use state of the art and eye-wateringly expensive technology to scan and restore the maps. As a result, I guarantee my maps are a cut above the rest - that's why I can offer a no-quibble refund.
Almost all of my maps look amazing at large sizes (200cm, 6.5ft+) and I can frame and deliver them to you as well, via special oversized courier. Contact me to discuss your specific needs.
