Almost all of my maps look amazing at large sizes (2m+) and can be framed. Contact me to discuss your specific needs.

This is one of the oldest, full colour complete maps of England and Ireland, published in 1605 by Abraham Ortelius. There's an incredible level of detail on this map, with most towns, cities and even some villages in England and Ireland labelled on this map.

This old map was hand coloured over 400 years ago and, as you can see, is still in amazing condition for a map of this age.

The keen eyed amongst you may have noticed that we are selling the exact same map - but without the hand colouring. I think both maps are stunning - but you should choose one that best suits your tastes or space!

Most of the villages and towns are in Modern English, but some of the counties are in their old Latin form - such as Southsexia (Sussex), Cantium (Kent) and Devonia (Devon).

Ireland was rather oddly shaped back in 1605, but all of the major towns and cities are already visible - Cork, Dublin, Belfast, etc.

Scotland is just about visible at the top of the map - you can see up to Edinburgh (or Edenburg!) but not much further.

And of course, Wales and all of its towns are clearly visible. You might be wondering what Brecknock is... well, it's the archaic form of Brecon!

A curious 'family tree' of monarchs adorns the right hand side, with Elizabeth I and James VI, the most recent monarchs, at the top of the tree.

This map will be completely sharp at all sizes. It's a lovely map at 18x24 inches, but it looks great at sizes all the way up to 60 inches wide (150cm, 5ft).

You can order the map itself, or you can order a framed version. The frame is a nice, simple black frame that really makes our maps pop out when on a wall. Please contact me if you would like to frame one of the larger prints for a custom order.
