Express delivery available at checkout
This is a print of sheet 4 of the Map of London Poverty, created by Charles Booth in 1898-9.
This map shows the historic North Western District of London, which today is mostly the London boroughs of Camden and the City of Westminster.
Regents Park and Primrose Hill are visible in this historic map, as is the village of Hampstead surrounded by fields and woodland.
The level of detail in these maps is breathtaking, with individual houses coloured to show whether they are "vicious semi-criminal" (black); "very poor" (dark blue); "poor" (light blue); "mixed" (red); "fairly comfortable" (light red); "middle class" (bright red); "upper-middle and upper class" (yellow).
This map looks great at all sizes from 12x12 inches (30x30cm) to 16x16in (40x40cm) and beyond to larger sizes. It looks its best at larger sizes. I can create beautiful, large prints of this map up to 45 inches (115cm) wide. Please get in touch if you're looking for larger, customised or different framing options.
I can make a custom version of this map for you. It will look just like a real Poverty Map, but it can focus on a specific area or just a few streets of north west London. Add the "Custom" map to your shopping basket, buy it, and then I'll message you to get the exact details of what you want on your unique historic map.
You can order the map itself, or you can order a framed version. The frame is a nice, simple black frame that really makes our maps pop out when on a wall.

I use a unique process to restore my maps that is massively time consuming and labour intensive. Hunting down the original maps can take months. I use state of the art and eye-wateringly expensive technology to scan and restore the maps. As a result, I guarantee my maps are a cut above the rest - that's why I can offer a no-quibble refund.
Almost all of my maps look amazing at large sizes (200cm, 6.5ft+) and I can frame and deliver them to you as well, via special oversized courier. Contact me to discuss your specific needs.
