Do not purchase this separately. It is an add-on product to be purchased with one of my maps or art prints.
This means your order will be aged quite a lot, so that it looks like a very old map or artwork that is about 200 years old. Move the slider in the image below to see the difference between an Original or Aged tone map.
You can also see some examples of Original and Aged maps on this page.
Absolutely outstanding! Thanks to the Team especially Sebastian and Matthew who pulled out the stops to not only produce this materpiece plotting the journey my son and I took across Amercia but also helped out in sizing the Map for inclusion in a Book.
Really impressed with the quality and service provided and the patience with my tweaking the design ;)

Hey Lawrence! Thank you - it's so nice to see this one up on the wall :) It was quite a labour of love. I hope you love and enjoy the map for many years to come. Let me know if we can help with any more maps in the future (but maybe something a bit simpler...)
Regards,
Sebastian
I love the map I ordered; it was a world map done in LOTR style. All the details and images of the map were interesting and delightful. I personalized my map and working with the team at Unique Maps was an enjoyable experience. They asked questions and sent proofs back and forth until the personalization was exactly what I wanted. Communication was great overall and I highly recommend this shop.
beautiful quality print, exactly as described on the website. they've also done a brilliant job of painting our dog in on the right hand side, in a subtle way that makes her look part of the scene. Couldn't be happier with what we ordered and will definitely buy from here in future
beautiful quality print, exactly as described on the website. they've also done a brilliant job of painting our dog in on the right hand side in a subtle and non-intrusive way so she looks part of the scene. We framed our own so can't speak to that element but we couldn't be happier with what we ordered and will definitely buy from here in the future

Thanks, Peter! What a wonderful artwork - and good dog :) Let me know if we can help with any more art in the future - as gifts perhaps!
I’m so pleased with this purchase! It’s high quality, and was frame - ready. I highly recommend it!!
Everything about Unique Maps is fantastic. The selection, the quality, the support and the product. I couldn’t be happier with the map I bought and I’m already now a repeat customer. An all round great shopping experience.
I recently ordered from Unique Maps and I couldn’t be happier with the result. The map itself is fantastic — the level of detail is incredible and I find myself having a look at it almost every time that I pass it.
I was in contact with Dominic by email during production and found that he was extremely polite and helpful throughout. I get the impression that a happy customer is very important to them and therefore they have an excellent customer service.
Overall a great product with fantastic service.
We absolutely love our custom LOTR map! We hung it up right in our bedroom, and bought these really nice metal-tone pins that match well. The customization is so cool, my fiancé was impressed with this birthday gift - I don't know how I'm going to match such a cool gift next year!

Wow! Thanks Stephanie - the map looks fantastic. I hope you enjoy it for years to come. And of course... to answer your question... the only way to top this map is with ANOTHER even better map! Regards, Sebastian.
Absolutely top notch! Excellent service from start to finish. Communication and updates were great. The print was exactly how I envisioned it. Loved being able to view the product before final completion and distribution.
I ordered a map of Lancaster as a Christmas present for my husband. He absolutely loves it and has learnt so much about the area we have recently moved to. Fantastic customised map with great communication from the company.
Unique Maps were super helpful and kind to deal with as I was trying to finalise a map design for a 30th birthday!
I can heartily recommend them! Thank you!
Very pleased with the quality of the print and the 3-d effect is really startling, helping us to think about our beautiful county in a whole new way. Great service and communication too, thank you!
They were able to find and customize a great map even during the very busy Christmas time, as you can see it is beautiful. You can see here the original map prior to 3D treatment and then the final result. Amazing! This is also an example of their aged map option which I think makes it all the better.
In the close up you can see the personalization that they put in for me featuring the locations of the first and last home my parents owned after moving to the area. They will be moving soon and this will be an amazing reminder of the beautiful area that they love. With the quality and personalization available from this site you are sure to find an amazing gift, even for a notoriously tough recipient like my father.
Could not suggest this more! And that is just this one product that they offer (3D map customization) they have so much more.

Thanks Jordan! For the kind words, and the lovely photos :) It was a lot of fun to work on your map. I hope we've made you into a lifelong map fan. Merry Christmas!
Amazing gorgeous maps, excellent quality and speedy delivery
I was so impressed with how they worked with me to get the exact right part of the map that I wanted. They were responsive and sent me pictures of the map I would be buying. It's now hung prominently on my wall and I couldn't be happier with it!!
Beautiful framed map of my home town, circa 1900. Excellent communication during its design to ensure it covered the area I wanted. I am delighted with it.

Wow! Thanks, Daniel - I'm glad you love your map, and thanks for sharing those wonderful pictures. The map looks amazing :)
Let me know when we can help you with another one...!
A very special and personal gift for my husbands 40th. The team worked with my brief - making a bespoke layout of the star map to include four different night skies for all the members of our family's birthdays. They worked quickly and new exactly what was needed even if my vision wasn't exactly clear in my head yet. Communication was very fast - I was very pleased with the service as is my husband who will treasure his print. Thank you!
Store owner replied:
Thanks, K! It's so nice to see the custom star chart in the flesh :) Thanks for sharing - and I hope it brings you joy for years to come.
I like to save tickets and memorabilia from the countries I visit and display them. I find the best way is to surround a black and white map of the country so that they show up well. Unfortunately I searched high and low for a specific map of two neighbouring countries but couldn’t find what I was after until, I found The Unique Maps Co. and was offered a custom made map. I am thrilled with the results, how quickly it was designed and value for money. I will definitely be requesting more after my next travels.
Store owner replied:
Hey Joss! Thanks a lot. It's very cool to see the finished map, including the tickets :)
Let me know if we can help with any more maps in the future... when you visit more countries...!
Map came quickly and was well packaged and of excellent quality.

Ooh! 😍 Thanks Jane. The map looks beautiful. Let me know if I can help with any more in the future.
I’m inlaying the map on a table going into the dinette on a boat, so i cut down the map and distressed it, to look like an old treasure map. Well overlay epoxy on top to encapsulate it, and get a smooth flat surface. Not the usual display of a new map on a wall, but it will turn out pretty neat in the end.
Store owner replied:
Very cool, Andrew! I look forward to seeing a photo of the finished piece :)
Whoa, the mountains actually pop right out of the map. It’s wild. Don’t think I’d bother if I lived somewhere flat, but if you’ve got a coastline or cool terrain, I bet it looks awesome. Dominic was awesome too, totally got what I wanted without me having to explain much. Really stoked with how it turned out. Hopefully I can grab another one sometime. Big thanks, guys.
Really unique, what a fantastic idea to offer all these unusual maps.
A wonderful upgrade for almost every room.
I have a special relation to Liverpool and also to the other places/maps i bought.
Very satisfied with the Purchase.
If you're looking for an older looking map, select the "Aged" tone for your map. We will use a secret process, developed over two decades by our founder and chief designer, to make the map look older.
Generally we recommend our 'balanced' aged colour tone. 'Subtle' is a good option if you just want to add a bit of character around the edges of the map. 'Rich' will heavily age the edges and the centre of the map, darkening the overall appearance significantly.
