Welche Größe soll ich kaufen?
Wenn Sie Platz und Budget haben, empfehle ich den Kauf einer Karte im Format 16 x 20 Zoll (40 x 50 cm) oder größer. Die meisten Karten sehen in größeren Formaten besser aus, da sie sehr viele Details enthalten.
Wenn Sie die kleinste Größe kaufen (normalerweise 12 Zoll oder 30 cm), kann der Text recht klein sein. Ich empfehle mich kontaktieren wenn Sie sicherstellen möchten, dass eine Karte in einer bestimmten Größe gut aussieht. Normalerweise antworte ich innerhalb weniger Minuten.
Auf einigen Karten wird eine „beste Größe“ angegeben. In diesem Fall enthält die Karte normalerweise Beschriftungen, die bei kleineren Größen sehr schwer zu lesen sind.

Allgemeine Größenrichtlinien
Im Allgemeinen ist die Größe, die Sie im Shop sehen, genau richtig.
Wenn Sie beispielsweise eine Karte im Format 18 x 24 Zoll kaufen, sollten Sie einen Rahmen kaufen, der „zu Kunstwerken“ im Format 18 x 24 Zoll passt. Wenn Sie eine Karte im Format 60 x 90 cm bestellen, sollten Sie einen Rahmen kaufen, der „zu Kunstwerken“ im Format 60 x 90 cm passt.
Wenn Sie eine Karte in einer ungewöhnlichen Größe sehen, z. B. 24 x 11 Zoll (oder 61 x 29 cm), empfehle ich Ihnen dringend, auf das Eintreffen der Karte zu warten, bevor Sie online einen Rahmen anfertigen oder bestellen. Diese Karten können in der Größe um ein paar Millimeter variieren, und es ist sehr frustrierend, wenn sie nicht in Ihren Rahmen passen!
Wenn Sie eine Karte mit einer genauen Größe in Zentimetern oder Zoll benötigen, wenden Sie sich bitte an uns kontaktiere mich.
Große Karten
Bitte kontaktiere mich wenn Sie vorhaben, eine große Karte (über 40 Zoll oder 100 cm) selbst zu rahmen.
Wenn Sie Ihren eigenen Rahmen kaufen, empfehle ich Ihnen, auf die Ankunft des Rahmens zu warten, die Innengröße des Rahmens zu bestätigen und mir dann die genaue Größe mitzuteilen, die Sie benötigen. Messen Sie die Breite und Höhe des Bretts auf der Rückseite des Rahmens, um ein genaues Maß zu erhalten.
Alternativ können Sie die Karte bei mir kaufen, sie bei Ankunft ausmessen und dann einen passenden Rahmen bestellen.
Bei großen Karten kann ich die Größe Ihrer Karte kostenlos anpassen.
Wenn Sie Ihre Karte zu einem lokalen Einrahmer bringen, vermisst dieser die Karte für Sie und passt dann den Rahmen an.
Karten im Papierformat „A“.
Wenn Sie nach einer A-Größe suchen, die in meinem Shop nicht verfügbar ist, z. B. 2A0 oder A4, wenden Sie sich bitte an uns kontaktiere mich zur Preisgestaltung.
Custom map sizes are available
At The Unique Maps Co., every order is processed and made by hand. There is no mass production and every map is custom made to order.
This means that I can tailor your map so that it perfectly fits a space on your wall, or a frame that you already own.
To order a custom sized map, select the size closest to what you need, and then select 'customise the size?' from the options below.
Custom sizing is free for large maps over 100cm or 40 inches, but for smaller maps there will be an additional small fee.

This map looks great at all sizes: 8x10in (20.5x25.5cm), 12x16in (30.5x41cm), 18x24in (45.5x61cm), 16x20in (40.5x51cm), 24x36in (61x91.5cm), 30x40in (76x101.5cm) and 37x50in (94x127cm), but it looks even better when printed large.

This map is available as a giclée print on acid free archival matte paper, or you can buy it framed. The frame is a nice, simple black frame that suits most aesthetics. Please get in touch if you'd like a different frame colour or material. My frames are glazed with super-clear museum-grade acrylic (perspex/acrylite), which is significantly less reflective than glass, safer, and will always arrive in perfect condition.
Mein Standardrahmen ist ein schwarzer Holzrahmen. Er ist einfach und sieht recht modern aus. Bei Karten bis zu 91 cm (36 Zoll) ist der Rahmen 2 cm (0,75 Zoll) breit. Bei größeren Karten verwende ich dickere Rahmen - in der Regel zwischen 35 und 60 mm (1.4in bis 2.4in).
In allen Fällen verwende ich für das Rahmenglas superklares Acrylglas in Museumsqualität (Plexiglas/Acrylit). Es ist leichter und sicherer als Glas - und es sieht besser aus, da es weniger reflektiert.
Alle Rahmen werden "aufhängefertig" geliefert, entweder mit einer Schnur oder mit Klammern auf der Rückseite. Sehr große Rahmen werden mit hochbelastbaren Aufhängeplatten und/oder einem Aufhängestock geliefert. Wenn Sie irgendwelche Fragen haben... immer kontaktieren Sie uns!

Canvas old maps are an interesting alternative to conventionally framed maps. Depending on your personal taste and room decor, canvas maps can "pop" a bit more than a framed map.

Meine Karten sind extrem hochwertige Reproduktionen von Originalkarten.
Ich beziehe extrem seltene Originalkarten aus Bibliotheken, Auktionshäusern und Privatsammlungen auf der ganzen Welt, restauriere sie in meiner Londoner Werkstatt und verwende dann spezielle Giclée-Tinten und -Drucker, um wunderschöne Karten zu erstellen, die noch besser aussehen als das Original.
Meine Karten werden auf säurefreiem, archivtauglichem, mattem (nicht glänzendem) Papier gedruckt, das sich sehr hochwertig und fast wie Karton anfühlt. Technisch gesehen hat das Papier eine Stärke von 10mil/190gsm. Es ist perfekt zum Einrahmen.
Ich drucke mit Epson-Ultrachrome-Giclée-Pigmenttinten, die UV-beständig sind und nicht verblassen - einige der besten Tinten, die man finden kann.
