This stunning old map of Manhattan, New York in 1926 by Charles Vernon Farrow shows you what the island looked like before the Empire State Building or World Trade Centre was built. Large sizes are available up to 4m (13ft) wide. Please get in touch if you are looking for a framed larger map.
This pictorial map is 'peak' pictorial map and likely the finest map of its type ever produced of a US city.
Most of Manhattan's modern features are already present in this antique map. Take a look at Downtown, dominated by the New York Telephone Building, Singer Building and Woolworth Building.
Battery Park, Union Square, Gramercy Park, and Central Park of course are all here.
As are all the bridges: Williamsburg Bridge, Manhattan Bridge, Brooklyn Bridge and Queensborough bridge.
Penn Station, Grand Central Terminal and the Post Office take up huge chunks of Manhattan in this map.
And if all that wasn't enough, there's even an inset map showing the northern part of Manhattan, mostly focusing on Washington Heights and its connections to The Bronx.
I recommend you take a look at the close-up images and see what else you can spot on this lovely old map of Manhattan!
This map is an unusual size - it's very wide - and would make a fantastic statement piece above a sofa, table, mantelpiece or staircase. It looks magnificent at every size and you'll always be able to read the writing on the map. I can print very large versions of this map up to 160 inches (400cm) wide. Get in touch if you're looking for very large maps. Please note that the 24x15 inch map has white edges that can be easily snipped off (or may help with framing). All other maps, and all framed maps, are just like the listing image.
The model in the listing images is holding the 36x24 inch (90x60cm) version of this map.
If you're looking for a framed map that isn't in stock, please get in touch and we can discuss your needs. I use super-clear museum-grade acrylic (perspex/acrylite) in my frames - it's less reflective than glass and better for transport.
If you are not happy with your unique map for any reason, contact me for a no-quibble refund.

I use a unique process to restore my maps that is massively time consuming and labour intensive. Hunting down the original maps can take months. I use state of the art and eye-wateringly expensive technology to scan and restore the maps. As a result, I guarantee my maps are a cut above the rest - that's why I can offer a no-quibble refund.
Almost all of my maps look amazing at large sizes (200cm, 6.5ft+) and I can frame and deliver them to you as well, via special oversized courier. Contact me to discuss your specific needs.
