Almost all of my maps look amazing at large sizes (2m+) and I can frame them. Contact me to discuss your specific needs.
Create your own custom, unique version of the greatest old map of London ever created. Put together by surveyor John Rocque and engraver John Pine in 1746, this map has an incredible level of detail.
The cities of London and Westminster are already quite developed, and south of the river in Southwark it's already quite dense. But in Lambeth it's all fields!
The full map consists of 24 sheets and was almost 4 metres wide by 2 metres tall! There is a huge amount of detail available here. We can create custom maps that centre on Buckingham Palace or Oxford Street or the fields around Marybone (now Marylebone, of course).
We can zoom in on a few streets around where you live today, or your favourite part of London. It would make a great gift for someone who lives in London, too - or anyone who wants to see what London looked like more than 250 years ago.
Tell us about your custom map of London when you place your order. We will send you a draft version of the map before we print it, to make sure it's exactly right.
All of my maps are well packaged and sent in a rugged tube if unframed, or surrounded by foam if framed.
I try to send out all maps within 1 or 2 days of receiving your order, though some products (like face masks or mugs) can take longer to make.
If you select the free worldwide shipping option, you can usually expect to receive your map around 10 days after you order. It may be faster or slower, depending on the impact of coronavirus in your country.
If you select Express Delivery at checkout your order will be sent by courier (Fedex, DHL, UPS, Parcelforce) and will usually arrive in 2-3 days.
Customers in the US, Australia and Canada: Your map will be sent from a printer or framer in your country, which means you'll get your map sooner, you won't pay import duties, and we'll put less CO2 into the atmosphere. I have worked with some great printers and framers around the world for years - so don't worry, your map will still look amazing!
My maps are extremely high quality reproductions of original maps.
I source original, extremely rare maps from libraries, auction houses and private collections around the world, restore them at my London workshop, and then use specialist giclée inks and printers to create beautiful maps that look even better than the original.
My maps are printed on thick matte (not glossy) paper that feels high quality. In technical terms the paper weight/thickness is 10mil/190gsm. It's perfect for framing.
Please contact me if you're looking for a print on canvas or cotton rag.
