Originally handcoloured almost 450 years ago, this is one of the finest examples of this map that I've ever seen.
These are also two of the first ever printed maps of American cities. This is Mexico City just 50 years after it was captured from the Aztecs by Spain.
This map is an unusual size - it's extremely wide - and would make a fantastic statement piece above a sofa, table, mantelpiece or staircase. Please note that if you order the 24x14 inch map unframed it will have white edges that can be easily snipped off. The larger sizes, and all the framed maps, are all printed and pre-cut perfectly to size.
Zoom into the listing images and marvel at the amazing detail of this map, which shows all the streets, landmarks, castles, churches and even individual houses in these two cities.
The map of Mexico City shows you how the city was initially built by the Aztecs on top of a lake, Lago de Texcoco.
This would make a wonderful birthday or Christmas gift for someone from Mexico, Peru or who has Latin America in their heart.
The model in the listing images is holding the 36x24 inch (90x60cm) version of this map.
The fifth listing image shows an example of my map personalisation service.
You can order the map itself, or you can order a framed version. The frame is a nice, simple black frame that really makes our maps pop out when on a wall. Please get in touch if you'd like a different frame. We use super-clear acrylic (perspex/acrylite) in our frames - it's less reflective than glass and better for transport.

I am very confident you will like your old map. I have been doing this since 1984 and I'm a 5-star Etsy seller with 1000s of sales and reviews.
This is the cheapest place to buy my maps online.
I use a unique process to restore my maps that is massively time consuming and labour intensive. Hunting down the original maps can take months. I use state of the art and eye-wateringly expensive technology to scan and restore the maps. As a result, I guarantee my maps are a cut above the rest - that's why I can offer a no-quibble refund.
Almost all of my maps look amazing at large sizes (200cm, 6.5ft+) and I can frame and deliver them to you as well, via special oversized courier. Contact me to discuss your specific needs.
