This old, handcoloured and wonderful map shows the Kingdom of Bohemia in 1626. It was created by John Speed.
Located east of Bavaria and north of Austria, Bohemia was a monarchy in Central Europe during the early modern period (roughly 1400 to 1800 AD)
During the time this map was created, the capital city of Prague was the imperial seat of the numerous kings of Bohemia who were elected Holy Roman Emperors, where Roman Catholicism was the only religion allowed.
This map looks great at all sizes: 12x16in (30.5x41cm), 16x20in (40.5x51cm), 18x24in (45.5x61cm), 24x36in (61x91.5cm), 32x40in (81.5x102cm), 40x50in (102x127cm), 48x60in (122x153cm) and 56x70in (142x178cm), but it looks even better when printed large.
I can create beautiful, large prints of this map up to 90in (229cm). Please get in touch if you're looking for larger, customised or different framing options.

If you’re looking for something slightly different, another option would be this amazing map of Prague by Georg Braun in 1572.
Some of the locations on this map include: Prague, Rakovnik, Bavaria, Moravia, Silesia, Chrudim and Meissen.
Please contact me to check if a certain location, landmark or feature is shown on this map.
This would make a wonderful birthday, Christmas, Father's Day, work leaving or housewarming gift for someone from the Kingdom of Bohemia or someone interested in Czechia.
This map is available as a giclée print on acid free archival matte paper, or you can buy it framed. The frame is a nice, simple black frame that suits most aesthetics. Please get in touch if you'd like a different frame colour or material. My frames are glazed with super-clear museum-grade acrylic (perspex/acrylite), which is significantly less reflective than glass, safer, and will always arrive in perfect condition.
