Linee guida generali sulle dimensioni

Continua a leggereGustav Klimt’s Fritza Riedler (1906) presents Friederike “Fritza” Riedler in a lavish, modern milieu that epitomizes fin-de-siècle Vienna. A leading light of the Vienna Secession, Klimt fuses psychological acuity with ornamental splendor: the sitter’s pale face and clasped hands are modeled with cool precision, while the surrounding world—chair, textiles, and backdrop—unfurls in rich, rhythmic patterns. The result is a portrait that moves gracefully between likeness and abstraction, mirroring an age when luxury, symbolism, and forward-looking design converged.
This listing offers a museum-quality fine art print of Fritza Riedler, produced on acid-free archival paper or artist’s cotton canvas for enduring color and detail. The Unique Maps Co. provides a range of sizes to suit intimate nooks or statement walls, with optional framing, matting, and hanging hardware for a ready-to-display finish. Personalization and customization are available—adjust the dimensions, add a discreet inscription, or coordinate the frame profile with your interior palette.
Klimt, a central figure in European Art Nouveau, was celebrated for uniting fine art and the decorative arts into a single, cohesive vision. His portraits of prominent patrons married avant-garde aesthetics with elite taste, transforming sitters into icons of modern elegance. In Fritza Riedler, the artist’s authority is unmistakable: he captures an individual presence while orchestrating a complex decorative field that feels both intimate and emblematic of its era.
The painting’s subject is equally compelling. Riedler, a Berlin-born figure in the cultured Austro-German world, is presented as poised yet introspective—a modern woman whose identity is amplified rather than overshadowed by her surroundings. Klimt’s innovative composition places her at the threshold between reality and ornament, inviting us to consider not only who she is, but also the world of design, ritual, and society that frames her.
Color and pattern are the heartbeat of the work. The luminous whites and soft greys of the sitter’s gown and skin set a serene counterpoint to a sumptuous field of red-orange and gold behind her, with warm beige notes acting as a bridge between subject and setting. Floral and stylized motifs—hallmarks of Art Nouveau—ripple through the textiles and furnishings, while flatter planes of color in the background act like a decorative tapestry, allowing the face and hands to emerge with sculptural clarity. This interplay of cool restraint and warm opulence makes the portrait a timeless statement piece for interiors that favor modern classicism, eclectic glamour, or contemporary minimalism with a touch of ornament.
An elegant gift for birthdays, weddings, housewarmings, Mother’s Day, or the holidays, this Klimt print also makes a thoughtful present for admirers of Art Nouveau, Vienna Secession design, and turn-of-the-century culture. Whether marking a special occasion or elevating a favorite room, Fritza Riedler brings a refined glow and an enduring conversation piece to any collection.
If you're not sure what size to order, or you're looking for a custom order of some kind – a different size, a different colour, a special frame – then please contact me. I usually respond within a few minutes.
You can see an example of my fine art personalisation service in the fifth image. Zoom in and take a look. My personalised artwork is always very well received. Take a look at more examples of personalisation.
You can also choose to age your art print to make it look older. This is popular amongst my customers who want their artwork to look like an older, antique print. You can see an example of ageing in the sixth product image, or go ahead and check out lots of examples of other aged artwork.
The model in the listing images is holding the 16x20in (40x50cm) version of this art print.
I can print and frame this beautiful piece of art at sizes up to 3 metres (10ft). If you are looking for a size or framing option that isn't available online, please get in touch.
This artwork is available as a giclée print on acid free archival matte paper, or you can buy it framed. My standard frames come in six colours (black, dark brown, dark grey, antique gold, oak and white), and custom framing is available for an additional charge. My frames are glazed with super-clear museum-grade acrylic (perspex/acrylite), which is significantly less reflective than glass, safer, and will always arrive in perfect condition.
This artwork is also available as a float framed canvas, sometimes known as a shadow gap framed canvas or canvas floater. The work is printed on artist's cotton canvas and then stretched over a handmade box frame. We then "float" the canvas inside a wooden frame, which is available in a range of colours (black, dark brown, oak, antique gold and white). This is a wonderful way to present an art print without glazing in front. See some examples of float framed canvas art and explore the differences between my different finishes.

Our standard frame is a gallery-style black ash hardwood frame, with a simple, modern look. It is approximately 20mm (0.8in) wide. You can also view some lovely customer photos of framed maps and art.
We use super-clear acrylic glazing, also known as Perspex or Acrylite, instead of traditional glass. It is lighter, safer, and has lower reflectivity, giving the artwork a clearer, cleaner appearance.
Six standard frame colours are available at no extra cost: black, dark brown, dark grey, oak, white, and antique gold. Custom framing and mounting/matting is also available for customers looking for something more specific.
Most maps, art prints, and illustrations are also available as a framed canvas. We use matte cotton canvas, stretch it over a sustainably sourced wooden box frame, and then float the piece within a wooden outer frame. The finished result is beautifully presented, with no glazing between you and the artwork.
All frames are supplied ready to hang, with either string or brackets fitted to the back. Very large frames will include heavy-duty hanging plates and/or a mounting baton. If you have any questions, please get in touch.
We can also supply old maps and artwork on canvas, foam board, cotton rag, and other materials.
If you would prefer to frame your map or artwork yourself, please read our size guide before ordering.
